Lots of Freud Box joints. It was a good Shop Notes project.
It call for Ponderosa Pine I made it out of good old Michigan white Pine.
I had a problem with a fixture Shop Short Cuts,I had out the old trig book, and I took care of the problem in short time.
Finish was 3 coats of Zinsser bulls eye shellac amber, and 3 coats of wipe-on Poly Clear Satin.
I think if I make another one it would Walnut or Cherry.
I had fun making the box, Thanks for looking.

Nice!

Are the curved fron pieces flat staves that are then shaped with planes and spolkeshaves?

I've done a cuouple curved tops, but never with finger-jointed ends. Those are neat!
