something different, heart bench and shelf project

Funny, the things women want you to build.:huh: I have been asked to build a heart shaped bench, with hearts cut in it. Sort of building on the fly here, using 1&1/4" soft maple. The bench bottom design I got from a book of plans , for a shaker bench. I just have to sand and fasten the bench together, then prime and paint it satin white. The bench and shelf will reside in a large basement bathroom, on an angled wall by the shower.

I lowered the back, looked too high. I painted the bench in 3 pcs, makes it a lot easier, white primer, about 3 coats and about 3 of satin lacquer using my Wagner fine coat turbine.

I missed your original post on this. The bench came out looking nice. Looks like something LOML would order. ;)
