Here is a picture of the rocking horse I finished today.
It's for my granddaughter who celebrated her 5th birthday yesterday. She will get to ride it later today.
It's made of Red Oak. I used a black dye for the saddle,hoofs and tail. The finish is pre-cat lacquer.

well keith i see you have went back to your roots and done some easy stuff for fun instead of the mudane sapele and mahongy tables and ent.centers:)

I didn't use leather for the seat. I know that is not the way I said I was going to do it but my source was delayed and I had to meet this very important deadline. Number one rule in woodworking ...keep your designs flexable.(birthdays can't wait) I think that's part of the fun.
The meeting on the 16th is a hands on demo, cutting dovetails. You should make a trip to the big city and bring some friends. Know any Galoots?
