I don't know what impressed me the most...the building or the website. Both are pretty slick. That would be a heck of a project to work on. I've worked on some big hunks of concrete, but foundation's gonna be a BIG hunk of concrete.
It will change the traditional look of the Chicago skyline from the lake, for sure. Thanks for the quick look. I wouldn't go back to see it in person for nuttin'.
Let's see, 1200 residences... Just how honking big a parking garage are they going to slip under that thing? Around here you'd have a hard time selling a condo without an available parking spot. Maybe things are a bit different in a big city, but still... Even if NONE of the residences get a parking spot you need to have some parking for visitors...
Did I really just read the penthouse will cost $40 million?
I like the design and the fact it will get Chicago the tallest building in the world title again, but I'm glad I won't be living in it. Like Art said, 1200 units will make for a lot of traffic jams, of people too!
