    Tall Teak box

This wood is an army surplus tent pole that I think is Teak, but I'm just guessing from pictures. It's probably WWII surplus and harder than a rock to turn. The finial is dyed maple. It's 9.5" tall, 2.5 dia.

I love the uniqueness of the design. It is a classic shape and the finial tops it well. Excellent!!
I may be getting a little older physically but mentally I'm still tarp as a shack.

Very nice. That's a pleasing shape, well proportioned and the finial is perfect. Looks great.

Nice one Kurt! It's always nice for the piece to have a back-story. BTW the wood looks/sounds like Ipe. I've never seen any Teak that was particularly hard. Is it heavy?
