Worked Out at the Wood Stash Site

Been a busy day! Caleb and I worked at cutting up some wood blanks. Here is a couple of shots of the day:

Caleb on the Mound of Wood, and no, we didn't cut all that, it's been there for a while, we just trying to find some good stuff.

Well if you can't golf, you might as well dig out the chainsaw and get some turning blanks

What kind of wood is it?

    Cheers!

What we cut and the pile that Caleb is on is all Maple. Most of it is Silver but they may be a bit of other varieties. After being down for a while, it's hard to tell what maple species it is. (at least for me)

Looks like a nice haul, Jon. I want that big chunk of log in the foreground in front of Caleb.
