    Amazon Packaging - Still Crazy

We had a discussion about the excessive packing material some folks use. I think Amazon got hit a few times. How this for one (1) 3/8" hollow mortise chisel:

I was also expecting a 10" saw blade. I assumed it was in there and when I picked up the box, I about threw it in the air, it was so light ;-)

I ordered a Gerber pocket knife from Amazon a couple months ago. It came in the same sort of packaging as your chisel set.

At first, I thought the box was empty! A two ounce knife, packed into a 12 X 12 X 6 box with a bunch of 'air bubbles.' A simple little 6 X 9 padded envelope would even have been overkill for that!

The mystery of the large box is solved. Somewhere there is an extra saw blade laying around. Amazon sent notification that the order is complete(?). I called and they will send the blade, 3-day shipping. All my dealings with Amazon over the years have been just this easy.
