Turned from a piece of scrap that I brought home from my AAW chapter. 8"x2". This bowl weighs very little. It was extremely light prior to finishing, and still is, but the finish added noticeably to the weight. I began with BLO, which completely soaked in. Two more coats of BLO, then a couple coats of DO, then a 50/50 mix of DO and poly, and finally a couple coats of straight poly. I let the finish sit and cure thoroughly, then buffed it.

This is one of many pieces I'll be offering at an upcoming show.

Mark, that sure is purdy. Just what I like, clean simple arch with beautiful wood. Can't ask for much better.

Well, now that you've done this one, you should try a thin bowl, just for some variety. :p

This is one of your best pieces, IMHO. Price it accordingly. ;)
