Our own private beach. No sand, but lots of tidepools. Fun for James to play in. Doorlink, of course, stepped on a sea urchin...






Oh, and Frank, when your mother in law and your three year old come along, it's a vacation, *not* a honeymoon....

At first seeing the title of the thread I was wondering why you would post 6 photos. Then I figured it out - I'm slow, but I'm thorough.

Then I remembered an old joke - I wonder if Roman doctors ever said, "Give me a saline 4, STAT!"

The spikes are still in her heel, but now they're so deep we can't see them. Here's a pic of a virgin islands sea urchin:



The one she stepped on was much bigger. They're pretty mean spikes: barbed, poison, and they swell up with blood like a cactus needle. Not as bad as jumping cactus, but pretty yucky just the same. I had to carry her all the way back to shore, as she lost both her beach shoes in the incident, and the urchins were pretty thick on the sea floor...
