Quilted Birdseye Platter #2

This is from the second slab of quilted birdseye maple that I picked up at Bell Forest Products.

Quilted birdseye platter, 12 ½” long x 8 1/8” wide x 1 ¾” high at the corners. Sanded to 320 grit and only one coat of Minwax Wipe-On Gloss Poly at this time. More will be applied over the next couple of days to build the finish and then buffed in about a week or so.

Chuck - thanks! To be honest, all I thought about was 'I wonder if I can turn something out of these slabs'. My wife really likes them and thought they would make very nice serving trays for things like rolls, etc when we have folks over for dinner. I'm open for suggestions...
