    Whatsit??

    Wondering if anyone can identify this old tool. It's overall length is about 5". My guess is that it's some kind of early seam ripper.

    My guess is its a tool used by a farrier for working on horse hoofs.

    Maybe the remnants of a crookneck chisel used for cleaning up the bottoms of mortises?
