rookie pics

Hey all
I know i don't post much,but that's becouse i'm not very good at turning ,but i really do enjoy reading these forums and dream about the day i can turn as good as yall. I thought i'd post a coumple of pics any way so you can see all my rookie blunders.The first one is a wine glass made of purple heart and spalted popular. the next one is hickory. as you can tell tne vase is for my son.

Rookie or not, I think you did a great job on both pieces. :thumb: As Chuck said, they came from the heart, and that's much more important than fancy turning skills, IMHO.
 
Steve - what everyone here has already stated - it's not the skill of the turner that makes the piece - it is the emotion that the piece brings out in everyone else! Outstanding vase! I am sure your son loves it! Thanks for posting!
