    Small Cherry HF

Here is another recently completed piece of cherry. It's about 3.5 x 4.5, finished with BLO then DO, and buffed.

    Turn it around and.....

Someone may have been wondering why the cherry tree was rotting. Of course, it was rotting so there would be a void for the chips to fly out of while turning it.

Very nice, Mark. Looks like the hole was burned into it.

Looks like a nice place to put a candle. It's pre-burnt.

    Why, of course!

Very nice, and a great Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde conversation piece. "Ah yes ... here we see a simple, unassuming cherry form. Allow me to turn it around for you..." (Gasps from the entourage, followed by "What on earth happened to the little cherub?")

Wow, I didn't scroll down far enough the first time. Turning it around sure changes the feel of it. Nice piece.

Very nice Mark, I also like the burn detail on the rim, sets it off real well!
