    Tropical strom today

    Well, folks,

Looks like Hannah is gonna come within 50 miles of the beltway. 7-10 inches of rain, 50 miles an hour winds. Stuff is already flooding, and she's not even going to get here until 4 pm.

Let's see, lots of rain, lots of wind... I wonder what kind of trees will fall... You know you're a turner when you look forward to a tropical storm!

The only bad news: Doorlink has to sing a wedding this afternoon! Imagine getting married on a day like this!

    Thanks,

    Bill

yeah, usually the storm starts 9 seconds after you say "I do"

what I did to avoid the storms... get most of the getting used to you phase over with long before the wedding (engaged for 6+ years, she kept dragging her feet).

well , true, it didn't avoid them, just shifted the timing.

Sounds like a pretty typical wedding.

(Why yes, in fact I am single...why do you ask?)
Where are we going? And what am I doing in this handbasket?

    Bill,
Were supposed to get hit by Hanna tonight & supposed to get up to 4" of rain. Although wind is supposed to get to only about 35mph.

Well, it looks like its over here. Only five or six inches of rain. The trees danced impressively in the wind for a few hours, but now the sun's out. Off to check out the debris field that is my neighborhood...

At least the power stayed on all day!

    Thanks,

    Bill
