    Christmas ornament

From a back issue of the AAW journal. Purple and white sea urchin, jarrah wood with poly finish. Only got one coat on befor the rain started. 10 coats of Krylon triple glaze to add strength. The urchin is fragile as an egg shell.

Nice work, I don't think I could get my tools sharp enough to try that.

    Dale,
Now that's gorgeous. You should send it to me so I can see what it looks like on my tree.

    Only one?

Your Christmas tree is going to look very empty, you'd better get going and make at least 20 of them! Christmas is approaching, Stu keeps on remembering us!

Jokes apart, I think it is great! and I can imagine some others in different shapes and woods decorating your tree. Honestly give it a thought...
    Best regards,
    Toni

The ornament died a horrible death. I took it out and shot some more poly on it, turned on the shop fan and blew it off the bench. It landed on my planer and broke out one side. Saved the wood and grafted it to a new shell. Funny how things fall in slow motion and you still can't grab them.

Sorry to know about that, I'm glad that you could save the woodwork and use it in a new shell. "Sic transit gloria mundi"
    Best regards,
