    Sweetgum Hollow Form

    This is from the other half of the log that I used for the fluted vase. I'm not crazy about the form as I prefer the Southwest shape but it is what it is.

    It's 6 1/4" x 4" with a Mesquite collar. It's also pretty thin at near 1/8" throughout. Finish is Deft gloss lacquer from a rattle can.

    Looks really good to me Cody! Wood sure is pretty and reminds me of the spalted white birch that I turn. Nice form and the collar works!

    I'm also partial to the southwest forms, but I still think you did a fine job on this one. Sort of like a chef who's not fond of Italian food cooking up a nice batch of linguine. Real pretty wood, too.
