large mirror frames

i first started making these frames in the mid- seventies-- i make three sizes and several different profiles -

now thats some frame,, to bad it was framing you:) you need to be free to continue your work and show us your imagaination..thank you for show in us those and how you made them the inner cove, is that done proir to being glued up or is it flat too before you begin?:thumb:
 
Those are very nice, Alex. :D Just by blind luck, I made a frame for a wooden sign with a fluted profile very similar to the fifth picture from the top. Mine's only a single type of wood, and not nearly as attractive, but the profile is cool. (And like yours, it highlights the accuracy of the miter joints, too.)

Hi Alex :wave:,
Nicely done, both the frames (I always favor the large bold frames) and the framed.:D When working in a framing shop in the 70's I was told the frame sells the piece (in most cases). Very good looking, nice proportions too on the frame size and the mirror hole, but then I'll bet you knew that.:rolleyes:
