    Little haul

Picked this up from Brother-in-law while we were at my nephews birthday. He has a custom furniture shop in Stockton, Ca and doesn't turn any more. I usually end up with what he doesn't want. This load has some Manzanita, American walnut, Eucalyptus, Buckeye burl, Curly maple, Honduran Mahogany and some white oak. Now if I can just convince my wife that it's to hot for a fire...

Congrats on the wood haul. Yep that wood looks to pretty to be firewood. Better get it on the lathe before she has it sitting by the fireplace.

Isn't that funny.? As soon as they get a shape they are not regarded as firewood anymore by non woodworking people.

We woodworkers have the gift of seeing what's inside, and we do it almost unconciously, well... maybe not... we just see "FREE WOOD" and we jump onto it
    Best regards,
    Toni

Good little haul there. You'll need to make him a little something out all that.

That's a nice assortment...should be fun seeing what's lurking in those pieces of firewood.
