    Upgraded DC at HF??

Has the HF 2hp dust collector always had a 5 micron bag? I thought it was 30 micron...Also the CFM rating seems higher as well?.....if it has changed I'd say this is even a better buy now.

    Drives ya nuts doesn't it!
I just went through something similar with Sears - yet the items were the same! Just different item numbers.
If the specs are actually true, for an additional $30 (over the typical $169 sale price) it's not too bad.

It does look like an improvement, but I think I'd still want something finer than a 5 micron bag. I've been happy with my HF DC, but I did put a cartridge filter on it.

We can make it stronger...faster...better...more purple*. We have the technology.

    * Recent studies prove that purple dust collectors collect more dust, plus, all the hot chicks dig 'em.

Yep, by the specs, it appears to be the SAME unit, but with a 5 micron bag instead of the 30 micron bag, AND they lowered the "Advertised" CFM from 1600 to 1550 on the new model, (probably more like a TRUE 775 CFM unit).
