Getting ready for a show this weekend, and since IKE came along, thought might get some interest in these lamps... they are a modified hollow form, with the little oil candles you can get at hobby stores and a couple of lamp chimneys that I picked up at the local thrift store.
The wood is Iroko.. I had a flat board about 13 in. square x 1 1/2 thick. I quartered it and hollowed it like a bowl, then glued them together to form an orb..
Finish is just tripoli, and carnuba.
The other lamp is a piece of spalted maple with same candle lite and chimney from thirft store.
