    Home made captive ring tools

I forged these from 1/4" O-1 round stock. I tried to make them so the cutting/scraping edge would be in line with the centerline of the tool so there wouldn't be a lot of twisting force. They work really well and take nice little ribbons.

Handles are some nice beech that I skewed into shape. I've been on a skew practice kick lately.

Great looking tools Joe. Was thinking of making one myself. Looks like I had better get moving.

Very cool, Joe. They obviously work great, too.
