    1st turning

Thanks to Woodcraft, I did my first turning today. I stopped by because of the unusual occasion of having a little time to kill and they were turning some pens to send overseas to the troops. The fellow gave me a lesson and I turned my pen and sent a note to some deserving soldier. I had agreat time and the woodcraft people were really great. I couldn't thank them enough!

    Vaughn,
I, like most of us will not be buying anything non-essential short-term until I find out if the sky is really falling.

Lee, it might not be essential right now but, soon those turning bugs start bitin and make you twitch at night and essential starts looking different! Craigslist here has great starter lathes on it right now, one is even throwing in tools, pen kits and a grinder for 60 bucks. Turn as much at WC as you can!
There are no mistakes in woodworking until you run out of wood.
