Well the lady at the Carnagie Arts Center where my turnings are displayed called and said bring some more bottle stoppers down. She said all 9 had sold for $29 each. So I thought I would break in the new lathe. Here are 3 I turned this afternoon. Just a deft lacquer finish as I wanted them done quick. Sanded to 400 grit and 3 coats of lacquer. Also got a photo tent so lots of experimenting going on. Sorry about the pic's.

Bernie, congrats on the sales and the great looking stoppers. I turned my first one this weekend with my dad...they might become an addiction!

Thanks. Yes they can be additive for sure. I am taking 5 more down today and have 10 more on order. She told me two ladies came back and bought 5 of the 7 I took down Friday. Hopefully all will sell.

Bernie, those are nice bottle stoppers. :thumb: I just started turning some this last week. They sure are fun. My son Jeff and I turned some this last weekend when he was home.
