    Big Leaf Maple bowl

While I was waiting for the finish to cure on the peppermills, I finished this maple bowl. It is 7 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall, finished with Danish oil sanded into the bowl with 600, 800, and 1000 grit. At the very last minute before christmas I plan to Beall buff it.

It will be a gift for a machinist friend who did all the work on my 1949 Shopsmith to make it a dedicated lathe.

Great looking bowl Kieth. Even better your using it to repay a friend that helped you be able to make it! Well Done.

That looks great, Keith. I suspect the recipient will be very pleased to own it.
