Cool!

What an awesome way to recyle a sawblade into something useful!

I'm probably going to steal this one.... :thumb:

That's very cool. Not a lot of people would look at an old saw blade and see a drop-point skinning knife. Tell Brian he did a great job. ;)

So who is making the sheath :D

VERY nice job Brian, and thank you Dawn for showing us his work.

How hard was it to drill the sawblade?

If that stuff is hard enough to hold a good edge, it would be hard to cut...... No?

I have a deer hunting buddy, I know he would appreciate something like that.

Cheers!

Dawn and Brian, I too thank you for the idea and posting of this great knife!!! Now I know why I have been saving all of those old circular saw blades!!! Am interested in hearing answers to all of the questions already posted so will quit typing and wait patiently (well somewhat patiently!) for the answers.

I'll be making the sheath out of gator skin
It was very hard to drill he broke several blades and drill bits

Outstanding!
What a great idea! Hopefully he can put that drop point skinner to some good use. The gator skin sheath should be pretty cool. I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of that also:)

Thanks for sharing.

Very neat! :thumb:

Although I'm curious about one thing: what kind of steel are saw blade bodies made from? Seems like "holds an edge" becomes a lot less important once they start brazing bits of carbide onto the teeth...

Brian, nice job on the knife there! for someone to see that style of knife in the saw blade,, he has to know how to use one pretty good!!! and i too would like to see the gator sheath.:thumb:
