Idea for a dropleaf side table

Looks fine from here.
What is your drop mechanism?
Personally, I dislike mechanical as they always sag. Usually sooner than later. I prefer the simplicity of old fashioned sliding wood supports.
 
just add some gtr sawn white oak or mabey some cherry and you got a winner..the side stretcher tenons,, are they threw tenons or fake for screw hiding? looks great:thumb:
 
Those are through tenons all around. The only metal in the whole table would be the hinges. I would be using sliding wooden supports, but as this was preliminary, i didn't include them. You're right, cherry, or white oak and this would be a nice table. The only thing holding it up, is that he is waiting on permission from the wife... :rofl:

I just noticed you're in Falcon Heights. I lived there when I first moved to the Cities from Wisconsin. Right across from the Fairgrounds and near that odd drainage pond inside the chain link fence.
