    ONE DAY DEAL FROM AMAZON!!!

    http://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-DS14DV...328333-8534454

$49 sounds like a great deal for this 14.4V Hitachi set.
    Thanks, Mark.

Bought two. Gifts for my sons. A little payback for the work they have been doing for me.

Dang, I missed it. I was thinking tonight how handy it's be to have a second cordless drill.

Amazon won't ship to Japan, besides, I got the nice National Panasonic unit a while back and it is working fine.

Those same drills here in Japan are over $200 easy

Well, I checked with UPS online and noticed that they said my Hitachi driver/drill had been delivered... Sure enough, it was setting on my front porch.. (The UPS driver never rings the door bell).

Intitial impression is it's very kewl! Much lighter than my Makita (which I really like) and plenty of umph! It included a really decent flashlight, and an extra set of driver bits/extension!

I was somewhat surprised that it did include the 5 year warranty, as some of the review comments said otherwise.

Thanks, Mark! A good $49.99 tool investment that I'm going to use tomorrow to install some window blinds.
