What to charge for a cutting board

Every time I show someone my cutting boards, they always say, "You should sell these!". Then I tell them what I feel I would have to charge, and how much they go for at Bed, Bath & Beyond (made someplace over seas no doubt). Then they usually say, "Oh", and look at me like i'm nuts for wanting that much for a cutting board.

Up to this point I have only done end grain boards. If I was going sell one, I would start at about $80, for an 8 1/2 x 11in board. If I was going to do a long grain board, I would probably price it in the neighborhood of $50 to $60, as it wouldn't take as long to make.

Here is a quick page that I put together in December to show people the boards that I have made. There is a line in there about my shop time being booked into January--I needed to disuade anyone asking me to make one for them by Christmas, as I was tied up with other boards and a train table for my son.
