I had this nice old Th Witherby in need of a new handle and honing. Here it is, put back to work after who knows how many years. I copied the handle from a Stanley 750, which is in pretty good company.

Nice looking!

Nice handle! :thumb: And the chisel doesn't look too bad either!:D
Well done refurb!

I was just using a very similar style chisel last night. I beleive mine was a "Samson". That thing could take and hold an edge like no one's business! And I betch that Whiterby or yours could do the same (or better)

Thank you kindly gents.

Frank - seriously, are the images too big? I post them the way I did to try to show some detail, but I can make them smaller. What size would be best?

Ken,
having had the pleasure of a shop tour from you, and moreover having held that chisel, I can attest to your craftsmanship and how well it cuts. Folks it will take shavings on end grain domestic conifer (as will most if not all of his cutting implements). Good Job and thanks again!
