    interesting challenge

I thought this would be of interest. In o8 the Irish Woodturners Guild held a Chapter Challenge to see who could make a set of "nesting boxes" like the Russian dolls. The winner was able to make 35 boxes to fit inside one another. This took him 140 hours, and the boxes are made of cherry, the smallest box is 4mmx4mm.

John, that was very interesting! I found many interesting things, those nesting boxes, that about says it all!

That was a great site John, there are some good ideas from the "Competition" section.

    "interesting" is an understatement.
Methinks doing something like that would be akin to making an automatic violin. It might be possible, but at the end of the project the maker would be insane.
Neverthless, I give a to those who did it.
