If you use multiple providers (ie AIM and Yahoo) you should look at Trillian.

I use it at work since some of my company uses AIM, some uses Yahoo and I can IM them all from the same software.

I had it set as invisible so nobody knows I'm on line. I was getting IM's that should have been emails - ie telling me to do things where I need/require an audit trail. It's great for pinging people - hey-ru there or having a side conversation during a conference call (you have to turn the binger off though).

OK - I'll bite - what's the significance of dumaspup?

    4, Wow that's tough.

I use Gtalk, AIM, IRC, and Windows Communicator (work).

I usually just use Gtalk (Googles Offering).
