My first e-mail this a.m. came from a friend who told me that another friend died last night.
The friend that died, his name was Steve, and the friend who wrote me served in the Army together for more than 30 years. They did very covert black ops and both bore physical and mental scars from their duties.
At times, in hunting camps, Steve would tell me about some of their operations. I can truly say that our country, and world freedom, owes him much.
He is now living pain free.

My condolences about the loss of your friend Steve! They are a breed of special people who some things.

Thank you. Last night I watched the TV show The Unit. Steve was very much in situations just like they depict on that show. Covert operations in places we officially deny being involved in. For those of you who know about such things, Steve made over 2400 HALO jumps. (not a typo, over two thousand four hundred) He literally deliberately took bullets more than once to save others.
