    I'd call it mighty pretty! Is that stained that color or is elm that color?

    That's natural Paul, just the enhancement from the applied finishing oil, as far as I can tell on my monitor the colour is true.

    Most English Elms are not quite so red as from this tree.

    Chas this topic could spark off some real debate if everyone could only hear how they pronounce the word "Vase".

    Given where you are and where I come from we were taught vase is pronounced vaaahse. In USA and sometimes in Canada, it is Vaise or vayyse.

    Luckily the forum removes this pronunciation.
