    NEED EXPERT HELP

I just received my Val. present to myself. A beall buffing system. I have the 2" morse and quick change to use it on my lathe, but I may want to make a buffing stand. I have this motor.

GOT a cord put on BUT it is rotating clockwise. I need one that rotated CC. I can't just switch the wires, it sparks, don't ask me how I know, Do you know of any way to get it to turn CC?

On many motors, there's a wiring diagram on the underside of the wiring box cover. Does yours have this?

Otherwise, the wiring will vary from mfg to mfg. Maybe somebody here has an old Emerson with an intact diagram?

Put a twist on/in the belt?

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!

If motor is pointing South, turn it to point North, (same for E/W).

The buffer connects directly to the shaft, no belt. If it doesn't turn the correct direction the buff could come loose while turning.

I gave up an this motor, can't be reversed. I'll use the lathe until I find another motor.

Unless it is a three phase motor and you're feeding it with a three phase cord there is no way of making it turn the opposite way without an inverter

I'm not an expert but if the motor is AC single phase you need and inverter to be able to make it turn both ways.
    Best regards,
