Serving tray with marquetry and inlay

Well I did make the banding and it is 1/2" Alder and 1/2" bloodwood. Rip long strips and sandwich a black veneer in between them.

Then set up a stop block and start cutting. When you get all the blocks cut make a clamping jig... I can show you pics... and glue up.

After that slice off what you need and sand of plane to thickness.

Thanks Dewey looks like I'm going to be busy cutting and gluing because your banding looks great, it was very nice, without being over the top. :thumb:
