Passions outside of woodworking

Restoreing a early 1920 building.Currently it is holds my shop on the first floor. It sat empty from 1971 till 2005.:eek:I have to remove all the t&g pine from the ceiling to fix the beams. Over all size is around 6000 sft. Took me one year to make it safe for use. Now I have eigth more years to get it back to orignal condtion.

Aside from woodworking, my other thing has always been motorcycles :thumb:

Those are some nice rides Stu.

When I was in Korea the Koreans were head over heals in love with Harleys. They even had their own motorcycle clubs/gangs complete with rundown bars playing leftover '70s rock. Do they do the same thing in Japan or are there enough motorcycle makers there that Harleys don't even get noticed?

The Harelys are big here too, but it is a whole "Lifestyle" thing, lots of posing, not much riding, not my scene at all, NEVER was, plus the darn HD bikes are stupid SICK expensive here

Terry,
I do like what they call classical thunder where the classical music is boisterous similar to the 1812 Overture type.

Speaking as a brass musician I definitely prefer Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov to Brahms or Beethoven. :)

I also like Celtic Thunder it's 4 men & 1 boy who have fantastic voices They're also on you tube.

Those all have good melodies and beats to them for sure! ;)

I've got a couple. I love classical music Prokofiev, piano concertos. I like playing the piano and wish I could get the stuff in my head onto paper. I also sing. Cantor at church. My faith and church are right at the top. Love spending time in the woods hunting, fishing. I am addicted to collecting figured woods. (wood porn) Kids, got 12. ( go figure)

I sometimes dabble with fine art. Trying to get into airbrushing again - picked up an Iwata HP-C plus over the weekend. No pic of the brush, but this is what I did with it tonight fooling around:

for 25 years I was addicted and I was a warrior.
Hard to believe, looking at the fat boy I turned into.
I couldnt control the back injuries, the crappy cancer surgery, and the worst, the weight control.

Passions, I've got them.

I think my biggest passion is learning new things. That causes me to have quite a few hobbies and quite pile of equipment.

I've always been into music, guitars, and although I'm not that good, I'm not that bad. I can usually figure things out. I've built a little 'studio' for recording and lately have been working on learning the banjo and mandolin, in addition to the 12 string and bass guitar...

My goal is to be able to record my own songs playing all the parts. Too bad I can't sing worth a darn...

I also fly Radio control planes and Helicopters. I Like to fish, hunt, shoot targets, do a little archery.

Lately getting the garden ready for a nice crop this year has been taking up a bit of time.

I created my own weather site, http://www.palominovalleyweather.com

I've been known to brew up a pretty decent batch of all grain beer as well.

I'm working on restoring a 46' Chevy.

It's really hard to tell what will be next.

To be fair, I'd say I'm a jack of all, master of none, but I do like to spread my time around.

Is that because of the Harley mystique/image or are they considered better motorcycles than others?
As I understand it, the Honda's are great machines.

Man do I have allot of passions, But the passion that is formost right now is Turkey hunting, then art will be back in the mix and then back to deer hunting. It's a viscous cycle LOL
