Tony, after you put this much thought into it and you say your leaning more towards the larger bandsaw you will be regretting it know if you get the smaller saw. Just my opinion and have learned the hard way. get what you want and don't settle :wave:

you could tie a chail fall to the roof truss and cut a hole in the floor. lower it down. patch the drywall. and put the floor back down. no one get hurt till the wife gets home.
