Sylvester Estate Auction - May 22-24 - Ottawa, KS

There's an upcoming auction for anyone that loves old cars and antiques just south of Kansas City in May. If I come into lots of money soon, I may have to go bid on the Ford Packard.

It's my understanding that the Buick Dusenburgs are much better bicycle cars, but only when you're driving them on the Interstate Pond system.

I don't know, I look at that collection and can't help but think about the collector. Who was he, what did he do, what kind of joy did it bring him, what happened to him? Bet there's an interesting story there...

    Thanks,

    Bill

From what a co-works knows. The family received a large sum of money from being relocated due to a government reservoir project. The old farmer bought some new land, invested a lot of it, and spent the rest. Now the grandchildren are wanting their share and selling off the collection he built as they didn't care to keep any of it...sad really, but I don't know any of them or if it's true.
