The 1st segmented bowl I've tried and LOML just loves it! Can't ask for much more than that. :thumb:

129 pieces; 4-5/8" high x 8-7/8" across the top.

Any comments, criticisms or suggestions always welcome. Thanks for looking.

I'm one of those who don't care for segmented work, but I do respect the artist and the work that goes into this type of turning. Well done Gord, nicely laid out, and great form and finish!

First the disclaimer: I have a (Jet Mini) lathe, but I am not a turner. The last time I used the lathe was six months ago - to make a chisel handle.

Now, that aside, :D I really like that bowl. What I like most about it is the way you evenly graduated the size of the pieces as the bowl's diameter increased. It really makes a smooth looking piece.

Nice bowl Gord.

I love segmented turning. I don't get to turn as often as I'd like to though. Last time I turned anything was about a year ago.

I think you are on your way to making more complex segmented turning projects.

Looking at the thumbnail, I thought that was mahagony.
