    Yellow birch

I have several yellow birch trees that feel over dyuring the winter and was wondering if it is good fire wood? They are not good for lumber, but migth be able to get a few bowl planks. Any firewood experts know? Most of what I burn is cherry or hard maple ans some ash.

Yellow birch can have some awesome figure in it Al. I have some flame birch boards that I traded walnut for. Sometimes if you catch it at the right time it can have some nice color from the beginings of the spalt/rot process.
