Stool for my father

My father is 81 years old and his health is failing. He is proud of me getting into woodworking and actually asked me to make him a stool. Something he can put some place and sit when he is tired going from one room to the next. I would love to build this for him but wonder if anyone has some plans I can follow.
I would think I would want it to be 18" or so tall. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't know if this would work out of wood, but you might be able to do something along the line of one of these walkers they have a built in seat. Just a thought.

He just got one of those and loves it, my Mom thinks he is crazy for asking for a stool but he has asked me a couple of times and even if he never uses it I want to build it for him.
