Arrow Pictures Added -- My First Commission

About a month ago I got my first commission to make something.....for money!

My best friend's sister is getting married, and she saw some of my pens. She wants turned wooden pens to give as gifts to her wedding party, and a few other special people. She wanted 20 pens. They are the basic gold slim line pens. There will be 5 of each of the 4 woods. Cherry, Black Walnut, Maple, & White Oak.

We worked out a deal, and now I am in the middle of a production run on pens. I am charging her a "friends and family" rate, so I'm not making a ton of money, but enough to pick up something new at Woodcraft.

As I posted before, I don't have the pictures of the completed pens with me now, so I'll put those up later.

Congrats Sean. That's a start. You might be surprised what may come of this. You may get more orders.

Those look great, Sean. The dollar amount of your "friends and family" discount will probably be more than made up in the amount of referral business you'll get from having 20 nice pens out among your friends and family.
