Jacaranda Natural Edge Winged Bowl

Here's some more of the neighbor's jacaranda. This piece has some neat curl scattered around. It's real light and soft wood, but it cuts and finishes out nicely. It's about 14" x somewhere around 6" to 8" wide depending on where you're measuring, and about three inches tall. (These are guesses, since it's packed away right now and I don't feel like digging it out.) This one was finished a few weeks ago, and I don't remember if I used Antique Oil or Formby's Tung Oil finish. Either way, it was buffed with Tripoli then wax.

This one got a lot of nice comments at the last show, but it hasn't sold yet. I'm pretty certain it will. ;)

That's a pretty bowl... I really like the winged edge pieces, just not sure I want to risk my knuckles making one... knowing my history in the shop, I would manage to knock at least one or two of my knuckles.
