    Global excercise

We are having a competition on another forum I belong to and I have one this as an entry. Since decided I don't like the colour of the plinth so will bedarkening that to mathe the 2 finials

Body is hollow and of Laburnum, finial are hawthorn dyed woth shoe polish then wiped off. Finiasl is also walnut. It's 6" dia. latitudinally and 5" longitudinally. Finuials and plinth are all 3"Meant to be a representation of the earth as in the old globes that you used to to get. After riugh turning the darn thing split, literally as I watched it. I filled the splits with dust from the inside and PVA glue. To me at least they look representative of the lines of Longitude.

Ditto on the "cool" . A very clever idea.
BTW, the photos wouldn't open. I had to enjoy small.

The pics worked just fine for me!

That's cool, Pete. Man, those finials sure are thin. Best of luck in the contest.
