    drawer sides and bottom

I am building a base cabinet for the laundry room. The drawer side is 27 1/2 x 22x 5 1/4. Is 5/8" too thick for the sides or would 1/2" look better? Also will 1/4" ply be thick enough for a bottom? Thanks for any answers. Rex

Lord Yes! That is the staple for drawer bottoms. 1/2" sides and 1/4" bottoms is the "Rule"

but 5/8" is fine too. if yu dont want to plane it thinner. just size accordingly.
If in Doubt, Build it Stout!
