    Finishing

After rubbing down with steel-wool a surface finished with Poly Urethane can I spray lacquer over it?

I don't think I would do that Bart. The solvents in the lacquer might penetrate the poly, especislly since you have sanded it, and cause lifting.

You can apply poly over lacquer, but I have to recommend against the lacquer over poly.

    It will not work.
I use lacquer thinner to clean dried poly from my spray gun.
