Whats in a Name?? or I am who I am

On my maternal side, the name is Risley. But, originally (about 1400), in German, it was Kassell. The family later migrated to France, where the name became Cassell, then, because of political reasons crossed the channel to England. They settled in Buckinghamshire County near the town of High Wycombe but to avoid detection, took their new family name from the creek near their home. Risley.
Many-many years later, as a young Airman was stationed at the base outside of High Wycombe. I lived there three years without knowing I had family in the area.
Nevertheless, welcome Jiggs.

Welcome Jiggs, and thanks for telling your story.

By the way, I lived in a country for a few years where "ken" means "yes" and anytime I went out I was hearing my name being said. Paranoid? Who are you calling paranoid?

All the best to you, and a warm welcome.

Ken
