Finished a few more pieces from that "diseased" wood...

Finally got around to doing a few more pieces of the spalted maple I got last month... here are a few more pieces.. The first two pictures are the hollow form I showed earlier that is finished now.

Then a couple of bowls and another footed hollow form.

Nice-looking work, Chuck. That's some great wood...I'll bet it was a bit punky and challenging to cut cleanly.
 
Overall nice pieces. I might shorten the bases on #2 and #3 on the bottom, to give them the illisuion of floating. To me, they look a little like mushrooms with the tops cut off.

No expert here, just an impression.
