Moonmachines...do you remeber when 72 kbytes was a lot of memory

The boys from Apple have come a long way from the days in their garage... I remember meeting them in Santa Clara, CA way back when they were first starting... I think they were still assembling computers in their garage.

I remember meeting another company that was just trying to start up... they were formerly IBM engineers starting the "desk top" computers that IBM didn't want to get involved with because they said "it'll not sell, people aren't going to buy computers that will sit on their desk"....

In 1977 I shipped a computer from Amdahl in Santa Clara to Scotland Yard in London... the computer and all the peripherals took up a 40 foot ocean container.
I heard that the installation took up an entire floor in the Scotland Yard building.
Some of the PC's or even some laptops will do as much as that machine... don't even know if Amdahl is still in business.
