    Miter fence addition

plans for a simple miter fence add on. I don't own a t-slot bit (yet) so I was playing around today to figure out how to make an auxiliary fence with just a dado stack. My solution is to cut a dado on two sides of a piece of 3/4 mdf , then glue on two 1/2" pieces of mdf... then cut a slot through to the prior dados to make a T slot. That will let me mount a stop block with a toilet bolt with a star nut.

I ran one as you show for quite awhile. I took the slot positions off my Rockler RT fence so the same stop blocks and fixtures fit. It is still up in the rack somewhere and I used it a few months ago. I laminated 3/4" MDF to 1/2" BB ply. Clamped it to my TS top for glue-up to assure it was flat and it remained stable for years.
